Project Overview
VEEN Studio is a newly established photography brand based in Vancouver, specializing in family and child photography. The goal of this project was to create a professional, heartfelt brand identity that reflects warmth, trust, creativity, and joy.
I was responsible for designing a logo system, selecting a color palette, choosing typography, and creating social media content to establish a strong and cohesive brand presence.

Strategy
Before jumping into design, I sat down with the client to learn about her values and vision. We discussed what she wanted her brand to feel like — safe, warm, family-centered, creative, and trustworthy. These values guided every design decision.
I wanted the brand to feel like a soft hug — joyful and modern, but also grounded and calm. The end result is a visual identity that speaks to loving families, makes people smile, and builds instant connection.
Logo
Design
The logo needed to feel personal and memorable, while also being versatile and professional. I began by researching competitors in the photography space, especially those focused on families and children. Most successful logos used rounded, friendly shapes, often incorporating a camera motif. From there, I explored several sketches and landed on two versions:
✨ Primary Logo
A full logo featuring the word "VEEN" with a hidden camera graphic inside the letters , a little visual surprise that makes people say, “Oh, I see it!”. The center circle symbolizes both a camera lens and the unbreakable bond of family.
✨ Secondary Logo
A compact monogram featuring the letters V + N, perfect for stickers, watermarks, and social media. Simple, clean, and easily recognizable.
Color
Palette
To design with emotional impact, I researched color psychology and selected a palette that reflects positivity, peace, love, and warmth — values at the core of the VEEN brand.
The result is a soft, clean, and modern color system with no harsh or dark tones. Every shade was chosen to make people feel calm, happy, and welcome.
Typography
Final Fix used for headlines and Instagram titles (designed as posts and stories). I chose this font for its curved, soft edges, which give it a friendly and artistic feel. Its distinctive style brings personality to the brand while remaining elegant and eye-catching—especially effective for social media content.
Ubuntu used for body text across brand materials, providing clarity and a friendly, approachable tone for web, print, and promotional assets.
